Chilli oil is one of those condiments that quietly improves almost anything. Pizza is the obvious use; here are three less obvious ones we’ve been making at home this month.
1. Drizzled over yoghurt
Thick, plain yoghurt with a generous spoonful of chilli oil and a pinch of salt. Eaten with warm bread. Dinner.
2. Stirred into eggs
A teaspoon of oil into the pan just before the eggs. Soft scramble. Toast. Done.
3. Over fresh tomatoes
Sliced ripe tomatoes, flaky salt, a generous drizzle of chilli oil. Summer on a plate.
